Though I was born in the tropics, after living up north for so long... Christmas isn´t Christmas without snow. Palm trees decorated with lights, fake snow and a lot of new found hybrid mixture of traditions. Christmas wasn´t Christmas this year, but a learning experience.These holidays have brought me to meditate...So here we go....
Ah! the start of a new year, new hopes, new goals.
Hopefully new successes and triumphs!

[ Oh JOY! ]
After endless hours of waiting for the REFERENDUM results, at around 1:30 AM this monday, there were fireworks and the taca taca from pans and pots being hit by people everywhere. NO won, the opposition won! Though I try to stay neutral to the countries political tribulations, this is worth mentioning and celebrating, the Venezuelan people have come together to defend their country.Valencia hasn´t fully woken up this morning, (it´s 10 am already, and only about 25% of the city is working, everyone else had been given the day off in case of political upheaval) but the sense of joy and calm is truly refreshing, and the hopes of having a good holiday season are now alive. I am hopeful this is the first step to ending nine years of losses.Let this be the beginning of many victories to come!Labels: holidays, utopian ideals
